Clarence Stace Mink, 87, passed away Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at his home in Salem, surrounded by family. He was born in Purcell, Oklahoma, on Nov. 14, 1922, to Fielding and Leona Mink. After serving in the Army, he moved to Oregon where he joined the Carpenters Union and met his wife of 63 years, Vera (Dierks). They raised four children on their 10-acre farm in south Salem. Stace enjoyed fishing, gardening, carpentry and spending time with family and friends, barbecuing and playing an exciting game of pinochle.
