During World
War II Kenny joined the Merchant Marines and sailed throughout the late 40's and
went to sea again during both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He spent most of
his years, when not sailing as a logger and shovel operator in Oregon,
Washington and Alaska.While in Toledo he met and married Lorraine Howell. On July 1, 2008, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He moved his family to Mossyrock, Washington in the fall of 1963 and spent the rest of his life there.
