RICHISON, Wayne, 82, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in Tulsa, OK. Born August 13, 1924 to Luther and Irene (Lowery) Richison. Graduate of Central High School. Wayne worked at Sinclair Oil Company before starting his own business, Wayne Richison Equipment Company. Married Joyce June Bradley on May 4, 1951. Member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer for many years and won the NAGA Amputee tournament in Singing Hills and also came in third place in the Richmond, VA golf tournament. He was raised in the Tulsa Boys Home and remained on the Board of Directors. He was a member of the Optimist Club and became governor for a term and also a member of the TEA Club and was President in 1971. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; and son, Douglas Wayne Richison. Survived by son, Brad Richison and wife, Polly; daughter, Brenda Carpenter and husband, Steve, all of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Mary Simpson and Betty Koehler, both of Massachusetts; six half brothers and sisters; four grandchildren, Christina Stehr, John Stehr, Erik Richison and Rebecca Richison; one great-granddaughter, Eliana Rae.
